No – the Theremin uses an Electromagnetic field to produce a monophonic (single note) tone. The Beamz is actually a Laser-Powered Controller, which drives the software Engine which lives in your computer. It is Multi-timbral (many different sounds) and Polyphonic (many different notes).
The six laser beams are less powerful than those used at shopping checkout counters, and 5 times less powerful than standard office laser pointers. However we strongly recommend that you do not stick your head between them or stare directly into the lights for any period of time. Casual glances into the lights will do no harm. The lasers are completely harmless to the touch, and the wearing of white gloves is entirely optional!
Legally we are obliged to deliver your goods within 28 days of receipt of funds – however we aim to get the Beamz to you within 5 working days, and in many cases, sooner.
